Iran’s ‘Killer Spider’ finds way to Busan fest

The Busan Int’l filmfest in South Korea is to host Iran’s ‘Killer Spider’.

The 25th edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea has scheduled to play host to Iranian feature ‘Killer Spider’.

Directed by Ebrahim Irajzad, the flick will be showcased at the A Window on Asian Cinema section of the Korean event.

The social crime flick narrates the story of a man who wants to eradicate corruption from the face of the earth.

Mohsen Tanabandeh, Sareh Bayat, Shirin Yazdanbakhsh, Mahour Alvand and Javad Yahyavi are among the cast members of the flick.

‘Killer Spider’ got its national premiere at the 38th Fajr film Festival.

The film was also presented at the Marche du Film (film market) of the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Founded in 1996, the BIFF is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia.

The 25th edition of the fest, slated for October 21-30, 2020, will also have ‘Dying in Holy Water’, ‘The Slaughterhouse’ and ‘Sun Children’, all from Iran, among its screening titles.
